I’ve been having problems for what feels like the longest time getting quality audio on my recorded Instagram videos. I could be in the quietest room, yet whenever I record a video, it sounds like there is an industrial fan blowing directly into my speaker.
It turns out I wasn’t alone!
After seeing others mention having the same issue, I turned to trusty Dr. Google for answers. It took some trial and error, but I finally found a solution that works.
All you need is a thumb tack, paper clip, or other object with a sharp/fine tip.
- Find a well-lit area
- Take your sharp/fine tipped object
- poke 3 or 4 holes (lightly! not a lot of pressure is needed) into the speaker directly. Make sure not to push in too deep. (that’s what she said.)
That’s it! Now try and record audio or video on Instagram. It’s crystal clear.
